How The Sequestered Chef Works
The Sequestered Chef (TSC), is a mash up between a take-out restaurant and a caterer.
We take orders at least one day ahead of time which majorly cuts down on food waste.
All dishes serve 2 people, perfect for date night and families.
We take orders til midnight.
Orders can be picked up the following day anytime between 11am-8pm.
-We are located in front of the carports at 7621 Waring Ave, Los Angeles CA 90046.
-When you arrive, text us and let us know.
-Or ring the supersecret doorbell on the carport post.
-Please don't ring the doorbell at 7621 Waring. That is not us.
-Your food will be brought out to your car and placed in your trunk.
-The street has plenty of parking

The Sequestered Chef special
When all restaurants switched to take-out, we noticed that by the time we got our food home, it often wasn’t as good as when we'd eaten it in the restaurant. Sometimes it was gloppy or soggy or just blah. Why?
Because most high-end restaurant food is designed to taste amazing right when it hits your plate. It’s not made to travel and eat later. But catering works differently.
During his years working as a high-end caterer, Chef Alex learned to create menus and recipes designed specifically to travel, so when you reheat it at home, it's perfect.

The Sequestered Chef is run by partners Liz and Alex.
Chef Alex LaBorwit is a 5-star chef with over 30 years of experience. Most recently Chef Alex worked in executive roles at Joan’s on Third, Wolfgang Puck Catering, The Huntington Library and The Paley.
As an Executive Chef, Alex has cooked alongside many notable, award winning Chefs including Mark Miller, Wolfgang Puck, Marcella Hazan, Robert Kinkead, and Giulliano Bugialli.
